Playing with Presents

I believe we've played with them all.  Chris and I have loosened too many twist ties from the back of toys to even count, and have sawed through what seems like indestructable plastic wrappers.  We've bathed Barbies (and Barbie's dog), colored and decorated Barbie's hair, watched movies, baked brownies, painted, glittered, worn make up, and tested the walkie talkies from every corner of the house. They work in the garage, the closet and even in the shower (we haven't tried them out with the water running) - we won't give Tate any ideas.

Cayla woke up bright and early Sunday morning ready to try out her most favorite 10-15 new toys.  She was disappointed to hear that she had to go to church first.  When she wanted to paint we opted to do so outside so Tate could play along.  My friend Rebecca cringed when Cayla opened some of her gifts - she could just imagine the damage Tate could cause with them.  So far so good... we've played outside a lot.

The bath paint, gel, and markers were all a huge HIT  MESS, but they are great fun.  At the going rate, they will probably last about a week, but they've gotten lots of use out of them.  Probably at least 20 minutes every night!

Tate tries to help Sue study.  Clearing his note taking was not very helpful, but she seemed to welcome the short break. She has two big tests tomorrow - YUCK!

Tate retreats back to Sue at bedtime believing that she will save him.  It worked for a little bit - how could she possibly turn away the boy with a devilish grin who's looking to snuggle.

He believes if he's REALLY STILL I can't see him.
