Week 1–almost complete!

It looks like we’re going to survive the first week of school. Tate’s teacher was kind enough to send me this sweet picture.  I learned at orientation last night that he likes to pick a carpet square at the front of the class so he can see and she says she’s very eager to learn.  It makes me wonder, does he have her fooled, or am I the one that’s being snowed?  PE and lunch are currently his favorite subjects, but that’s all about to change because on Monday they start science.  This boy is ecstatic about learning science and Monday can’t come quickly enough for him.  I hope he’s not disappointed with kindergarten science lessons. He’s hoping to make “zombie potion”, and if Mrs. G. pulls that one off she’s quite a rock star!

It wasn’t planned, but the other day they both ended up wearing peace sign shirts.  Peace signs have been “cool” to Cayla for quite some time, but Tate thinks I bought him this shirt because he’s in kindergarten.   Truthfully I only got him the shirt because it was orange and blue (his two favorite colors).  Come to think of it, I guess he’s worn orange and/or blue every day this week.

Lastly a couple of pictures for comparison.  The sizing is a little different, the angles are different, and the photo quality is drastically different.  Never the less I think they are similar size starting kindergarten.  Strangely one of the few things that is the same is that doormat (though one could never tell by looking at it).  YIKES, surprised CP hasn’t thrown that thing away yet!

I should have you shop for brooks! They have the same requirements for clothing!
