School Program

This morning was the end-of-year program at Cayla's school. A note came home this week letting us know about it, and letting us know that the kids were "encouraged to wear their favorite cowgirl or cowboy attire". As my neighbor put it, what ever happened to the easy themes? (i.e. Crazy Hair Day or Silly Socks) What would we call our "favorite cowgirl attire" since we have NO cowgirl attire? Thankfully we were able to borrow some super cute cowgirl things from sweet Piper - PINK BOOTS! I thought the outfit was complete, but Cayla was bummed about not having a hat. "Mom, at the end of my song I have to tip my hat!" GRRRRREAT, our "favorite cowgirl outfit" has no hat. Mrs. Juree came through for us and had the perfect hat! So in the end we pulled off a great costume. You'd be amazed how many children must actually own hats and boots! There were so many kids (Grades K-4) dressed up (even some parents too- YIKES)!

Cayla and Carson spent the evening playing in the sprinkler. They did this all evening long, just taking a quick break to eat their dinner (in their swimsuits). At the end of the night Cayla came in all wet, but relatively clean.

Tate was super grouchy yesterday and only played outside for a few minutes, yet he somehow he still found the only mud on the entire street. Cayla screeched when Tate came near her (looking like this), he pointed his finger at her and told her, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO. He didn't want to hear it.
