Fancy Nancy and Destruction

Busy week last week! We had our Daisy Scout Fancy Nancy Workshop on Tuesday night. It might have been a bit chaotic, but it was fun and the Daisies had a great time. About 30 minutes before the workshop I read that the girls were supposed to dress “fancy”. At this point Cayla and I are still at my office, and there is no time to go home and grab one of those million crowns and or boas she owns. Luckily the Dollar General next door had lots of “fancy things”. (actually the variety was very limited, but choosing from an entire aisle of junk made her feel like she had choices – even though only a few of them were dress up and none were really very posh) The perfect crown and pair of wings made her feel fancy. At the workshop the girls made paper crowns, feather pens, bracelets, and ate pizza and ice cream sundaes.

Tate had a very busy weekend. I don’t know if he considered it busy, but he made me very busy (and tired). He has eaten most all of the rubber tips off of the door stoppers. Lucky for him he doesn’t try to swallow them he just comes to find one of us and has at least one maybe more stored away in his cheeks. We got to see first hand how he gets them off – with his teeth! He bites on them and then pulls his head back! He also managed to remove the little plastic bolt covers from the bottom of the toilet. He ate the felt tips off of orange and red markers, but before he managed to bite them off he wrote on his clothes and the carpet. He emptied a box of band-aids and tore the box into a million pieces. He emptied a box of envelopes and tore them into a million pieces. He snagged his Halloween picture and frame from the refrigerator door and tore it into a million pieces. Star was barely was able to wiggle her self free from his not so friendly grip and save herself from a swim in the toilet. *I hardly think its even work mentioning all of the toilet paper he unrolled (or ate) because that just sounds too “normal”. This was all in a days work for this very, very, busy boy.

We’ve decided that Tate should not get any Christmas presents this year, and the money generally spent on him should go toward fixing all that he’s destroyed. Cayla thinks it’s a great idea! Cayla thinks we need to start giving him spankings, because he definitely deserves them.

LOL! Oh, Tate! Welcome to mothering a boy! It's WILD! My two boys (who are only 14 months apart) keep me on my toes. In about a half an hour they flooded the bathroom, pee-ed in a kitchen up (that they unloaded from the dishwasher) and pulled the stuffing out of the couch cushions. Boys!

By the way, this is Erin's friend, Kierstyn. Hi!!

Kierstyn, you're not giving me much hope that he will outgrow this soon. I can't let Tate meet your two hoodlems... he doesn't need any additional bad habits. HA! JK.
